Also seems like most people are getting a lower atar than the calculators seems like the 2017 cohort was really strong.

When I got my results, Matrix and HSCNinja said I would get approximately 99.40. In the end I got 98.90 rip

You might still get in. The cut-off is just the ATAR of the last person they let in that year isn't it?
And I'm trying to get into Bachelor of IT too, just not at the same Uni...

I got an ATAR of 72.50 which I'm sort of disappointed over but oh well.

94! Had a sickness so I missed out on nearly 30+ days this year and probably around 50 last year. Happy that I could get the ATAR I wanted for civil engineering at UNSW despite all adversities!
