Since I have received my trials results and most up-to-date ranking, I want to see if I am on track for the course I want to do next year which requires a minimum of 90. Any estimates at all would be greatly appreciated!

Trials Results
English Advanced: 6/110 (89%)
English Extension: 2/15 (42%)
Economics: 1/35 (89%)
Modern History: 3/58 (85%)
History Extension: 1/10 (43%)
Business Studies: 2/90 (85%)
Legal Studies: 5/39 (75%)

School Rank: 290-310

If my results are not adequate enough for the ATAR I need, can you please also include which subjects I should focus on and how much improvement I should aim for in the HSC? Thank you!!

In addition my friend also want an ATAR estimate and needs 95+ for their course.

Trials Results
English Advanced: 8/124 (84%)
Maths Extension: 2/56 (96%)
Maths Extension 2: 1/32 (98%)
Economics: 3/30 (88%)
Physics: 3/58 (78%)
Chemistry: 3/62 (82%)

School Rank: 320-330

Your extension subjects are most likely not going to count because they're not as great as your other 2u subjects.

You should focus your time on the other 10 units as opposed to the extension course.

You're looking at like 91-92

Wouldn't getting into Band 5 for the two extensions scale higher than a Band 5 or lower in Legal?

Getting a high mark will help with scaling. You're on below 50% for both the extension courses which will not be included in your top 10 units most likely..?

The extensions are out of 50 so with those raw marks it would translate into ~84% for both of them. Wouldn't that beat a 75% in legal?

Hey Constantine,

I did very similar subjects to you and I got 91.90 in 2013.

English Adv 88
Eng Ext 40
Modern His 88
His Ext 40
Business 88
Legal Studies 93
Music 87 (didn't count)

My school ranking was in 200-300s.

In terms of ranks I was in the top 10 for almost everything except Eng Ext I came 5/7 lol (didn't go to class... At all)
