if you're aiming for med it's nice to be a bit more ambitious with subjects

why not up the maths to EX1?
not necessarily but he should try it out. He already has 3 sciences he might be a gun at science

well yes, but the likelihood of sitting 3 science HSC exams is quite low. So worst case scenario he drops a science, EX1 would be good (assuming he'd be good at maths?)

most likely yes, people good at science are usually good at maths with a bit of practice. Also why is 3 sciences low chance

I did well at ext 1 in yr 11 and science, but my english marks were not good and I dont think I have enough time to turn it around If I dont drop ext 1 maths

What do you mean by sitting 3 science exams is low?

tbh, take 4u maths. honestly takes less time than 2u lmao.
