Anyone else applying for med and wanna chat about it?
Apparently, prep companies can be mentioned here but there is an absolute crackdown on the MSO. Any reference to it & the moderators take it down & issue warnings. Searching past threads on this I believe has been taken down too. 😯 or hard to find. Last year, NDAs have to be signed before interviews. I don't know which ones. The interviews is the last frontier for getting in. Also the least talked about. If you have anything to add or correct, would be glad to pass it on to others.

Yeah Mods don’t take nicely to mentioning other forums here. For example, ‘Ace Hsc’ turns into ******. Odd tactic

Hey can I ask a question? How likely is it that someone who got a 2580 on the ucat would actually get into med at unsw?

I’ll be real with you. A 2580 isn’t enough to get in first year. They’ll have to resit next year or come in through another course + GAMsat

Under the Rural Entry Scheme the UCAT ANZ requirement, has to reach at least the 50th percentile to proceed to the interview stage of the application process. The Situational Judgement mark is not be considered. I believe for this year 2020 for 2021 entry a score of 2580 is the 50th percentile whereas last year was 2480. Also, other schemes have been introduced this year. This is the first year UWS has combined 'forces' with CSU. And there is the GWS applicant, Gosford NSW applicant, lateral entry, indigenous entry. IMO quite exhausting but necessary I guess because afterall its medicine. If you got an interview, that's good. :)

So can I ask whether I really have a chance? Does UNSW really accept people with such a low ucat? I feel like I have an interview, but there's no real point
