I think it is worth bearing in mind that the "best" tutoring centre / tutor is going to depend on the needs of the individual student. Group or one-to-one or some combination of the two? Going through theory or answering specific questions? Practice of lots of questions or more selective questions, perhaps aimed at extending skills? Developing the skills to answer questions correctly / accurately or concentrating on exam skills / strategy when understanding is good? A one-size-fits-all model is only effective if the student happens to match the prototype used for the "all".

Hey! I'm one of the owners of SCOM =) I'm so glad to see that my business has made it here!

What we do differently is that we go through some pretty intense stuff but in a much more relaxed learning environment. CM Tutor is absolutely correct in saying that there is no such thing as a 'one size fits all' tuition centre. Some students prefer the super hardcore 'detention' negative-reinforcement style of learning, and there's nothing wrong with that if that's what you like! I myself grew up in that kind of environment so I can understand it entirely.

However, I like to think that we provide a much more supportive and positive-reinforcement learning style. I take the time to know each of my students personally and will absolutely take the time to have a sit-down with them individually if I can sense that something is off with my students. I love them all and will absolutely do whatever I can to support them!

About question difficulty, we go through the entire range from foundations all the way through to the hardest you'll ever see in the HSC or Trials. I provide the entire range to all my students, and allocate them problems according to what is suitable for them =)

SCOM is actually near-capacity now. I myself have about 100 Baulkham Hills students under my wing. If anybody reading this is interested, please feel free to give us a call or email us! I'd love to show you that learning mathematics can be an amazing experience where you learn heaps and also have a bit of fun too!! 🎉 🎉 🎉

Oh and for those who may be thinking that we don't cater to the higher-ability students, you don't ever need to worry about that. We've had first in several 'first in maths' at schools including Baulkham Hills HS for two years in a row, and looking to be three years in a row the way things are going atm! I'm so proud of them!! 💕💕🤗🤗

Thanks so much everybody!! <3

hi Jono, do you sell your resources to students who do not attend SCOM? I'm only interested in difficult problems. Thanks

Hello! =)

We don't sell them standalone. The notes are only part of the learning experience. We want to be judged by students off the whole package, not just our notes themselves. I hope you can understand this rationale! 😊😊🙏🙏
