I personally believe WSU should mainly be considered when it comes to degrees related to the medical field, such as Medicine, Nursing and Psychology, Business majors that deal with Psychology/Sociology, such as Management and Human Resource Management and soon (potentially) engineering degrees.

Regarding law, a number of people would generally consider Go8 universities like USyd and UNSW to be superior in terms of degree quality. While these 2 particular universities may be highly reputable for law (meaning they should probably be in your top preferences), this doesn't necessarily mean that studying a Bachelor of Laws at a different university will necessarily hinder you, particularly if you are capable of achieving great results. I know people studying a double degree at WSU, one of which is a Bachelor of Laws, with a rather impressive 6.3+ GPA.

I'd also like to bring your attention to the fact that WSU's School of Business actually offers some great job opportunities to students on a regular basis, particularly high achieving students. Examples include jobs at banks like Westpac and Big Four accounting firms, like PwC (where I recently worked). Such opportunities are great for students specialising in Finance, Accounting and Economics.

would maq be better than uws parra
As I mentioned above, if you are looking to study law based on the reputation of the university, then USyd and UNSW should probably be your main choices. Regarding MQ, I think both universities can be considered equal in terms of their law degrees. However, with all the work and effort that WSU's been putting in recently, I'd say it will likely gain an edge over MQ in the near future.

I hope this helps! All the best with your applications guys! :D

@stressedadfff I was wondering what your y11 marks were to get that law offer at UWS parra as I only just applied recently for law there with an A in English advanced and B in my HSIE subject (Ancient History) for y11. I'm just tryna gauge whether I'll receive an offer if you achieved something similar in y11

My friend moved from unsw to western for a year and apparently the social life was pretty dead so she moved back to unsw but degree wise should be okay!

Will WSU look at your both your yearly and half-yearly reports for the true reward program for year 11 or just the yearly report?
Considering the fact that when applying to be considered based on HSC results, WSU considers overall HSC marks, I think that they would adopt the same approach when considering applications based on year 11 results. This means that the year 11 results that they consider would be the overall ones which are made available on Students Online.

With that being said, it would still be a good idea to upload both reports if you are given the option to do so on the application portal.

My bad man, I meant with the True rewards program, like when giving out offers are do they look at your yearly year 11 report and the half-yearly one or just the yearly year 11 report?

No man your question was clear. :)

Having had another look, it seems that I have missed the fact that WSU states that students' results are sourced on their behalf for the purpose of assessing their HSC True Reward application, meaning that you do not need to upload your results to your application. I am fairly certain that this means that WSU will have access to your overall year 11 grades, which essentially consist of both your half-yearly and yearly reports for year 11.

Of course, you can definitely contact WSU and confirm whether this is the case as they are the ones who can provide you with the most accurate advice regarding their HSC True Reward Early Offer Program.

I’m pretty sure it’d be just the yearly grades because those are the only ones which NESA shows on studentsonline
