Hey all!
Right now my ultimate maximum for the Cambridge Year 11 Maths Ext. 1 is not even the last few questions in the Development section. How can I bring myself up to the level of completing the Enrichment questions in that textbook with minimal assistance?

Thanks,

I'd say mathematics in H.S would be two things. Computation + Intuition.

For computation, simply just get fast at doing simple processes such as applying trigonometric identities quickly or knowing how to simplify combinatorial terms etc.

For intuition, I'd suggest just studying the material as if you had to tutor someone. Then you have to ask questions on every aspect of the content, how would I derive this trig formula? Why can I apply this formula here? What are some nice properties of cosine? and so on.

It all takes time for this to come along, the only difference between someone who hits an E4 and E3 in these subjects is those in E4 are more efficient in their study and quicker to grasp both these aspects.

As Pethmin implied, generally more practice -> greater performance for mathematics. Its very doable to just get through Ext 1. with knowing the bare minimum given you grind out questions and eventually past papers.
