In HSC and Trials are marks deducted if an answer is too long even though it hits all the points? Like if you wrote 5 lines for a 2-marker?

Yes, they start deducting marks if u write too much, but it depends on the school

unless it says in the criteria: "answers the question clearly and concisely",
then you should be fine. they don't subtract points or negatively mark.

if the criteria says succinctly then yes, past hsc questions have stated this prett ye sure then wont give u full marks
try not to be rambling anyways as ur wasting time, ik easier said than done i struggle sometimes too when the question is convuluted and idk exactly what they want but this will improve throug more practice
