hi guys
i was going through unsw's admission for future students and saw this:

this was for enrolements in 2023 UNSW software engineering. less than 5% of students got in through just ATAR and/or + adjustment factors. does that mean that, i am less competitive to get into unsw engineering if i just have a really high selection rank? is someone who does portoflio or smth similar likely to get in? or is it that people who only use selection rank are just uncommon?

I'm pretty sure it's just an oddity with their exact definition for "soley on the basis of ATAR".

This is just a guess, but perhaps subject prerequisites were considered an "additional criteria".
