I'm sure USYD is absolutely fine!!! Although @sheppy123 does have a point in that usyd doesn't really hold up to it's 'high standards' as it does with their expectations in the students they choose for their courses. All in all I think at the end of the day, as long as you get your degree, there's nothing really to stress about.
Bro stfu the man has spoken, once someone gives u 20 links its time to admit defeat. My confirmation bias has been satisfied.

Honestly. I'd be fine with going to any uni lol. Whilst there are 20 links, I mean... some are from 2018..... How does that suffice as evidence that the course is bad currently? + USYD must be doing something well as they still ranked relatively high.

Usyd hasn’t changed a single bit. Their computer science course has been dogshit for 5+ years, that’s why there’s posts from 2022 and 2018. They still haven’t changed that you have to write your code on paper…..

💀 😭 Dude it still guarantees a degree at the end of it... its 5 years and you're out man. Is writting that difficult though? I know its kind of tedious given all of this then needs to be transposed back into a computer, but I'd say it'd be pretty helpful to memorise certain aspects of code

Lmk if you actually think hand writing code in an exam is useful in any way. And yes, I know you end up in the same job and same degree whatever but that doesn’t make the degree not shit.

Doesn't hand writting the code help to distinguish students who c+p and others who can recall the content?

But when it comes to getting jobs you’re not hand-writing code, are you? Actually performing your job as a software engineer is all online and doesn’t require any of that. It’s just completely unnecessary and doesn’t actually benefit anyone

Tbh knowing content is very useful as by knowing the content you can do more efficient searches which can help you find the answer you're looking for faster and also helps you get a better answer for your problem.

But writing code on paper is kinda pointless as there are better ways to demonstrate programming knowledge, and design planning.

when google mfs gonna ask him to code a solution to a data struct problem in the interviews, bro gonna whip out his pencil case and finest A4 paper 💀💀💀💀
Nah MS paint is the way to go, unlimited writing space for your code, and you don't have to sharpen your pencils or have to worry about pens running out of ink, which will maximize programming time.

hahaha ok year 9. Pick advanced computing, doesn’t really affect me. It’s not even the degree that sucks, also the uni is just so horrible. You’ll probably end up in the same job regardless of the uni though so who cares right?

There’s way more but maybe that gives you some insight
i dont like reddit so i wont open the reddit links but does everybody say that usyd comp sci sucks compared to unsw or usyd comp sci just sucks in general?
Wait so they require u to write code on paper in the exam?
