i reckon depends on how good the mark that correlates w ur rank is

Also depends on how everyone else in your school does, because that 50% assessment mark correlates to a rank which will match that rank achieved in the exams. Ie if you came first in class in assessment, your 50% exam mark will come from the best performing HSC mark in your school, even if you didn't write it

if u do better in the hsc, it will increase your atar no matter what how is it pointless

yeah same here tbh i did wayyyy more better in my school assessments than my hsc & hsc trials combined so i know im gonna get a bad atar anyway so yolo it is what it is
