i'd note too that hsc papers tend to have a wider spread of difficulty than many trials - most trials will have a (relatively to other papers) difficult q11-16, or easier q11-16. however, (relatively to other papers), hsc (esp 2021 & 2022) tend to have an "easy" q11, "medium" q12-14, "hard" q15, "harder" q16

How many past papers do you recommend doing before the hsc?

Your aim should be getting as many question exposer you can. Spend some time just going over past papers and looking at things you won’t be able to do. And do them. You might find topics you are bad at while doing that. Also it’s very important to atleast skim through 2023 paper because of the fact that 2022 paper was extremely hard so new types of questions have come into play in 2023 papers for 4u. Spend time revising, going over skimming over past papers for the last day.

also I belive E4 should be attainable for anyone who does 20 papers or more. 5 or more is E3
