Studying 'longer' doesn't always result in better marks. I think you should forget about the timing aspect, and focus more on the content that you are aiming to learn and how you can facilitate that knowledge. This would likely be through higher order thinking study techniques, as opposed to of course, notes (ew)
Just 5 cents who also suffered this mindset that 'time that I study= marks'. This never works, do not fall into the hole.
