You just get your moderated assessment mark as your exam mark (assuming you mean for an illness/misadventure). So it kinda depends on how everyone in your cohort does in the hsc, but it is basically dependent on your internal rank

In all seriousness, people would know what approximate ATAR they would get after finishing the HSC exams
