For this inequality question why is one equal to and the other not?? I tried got both equal to how do u figure this
look on the graph bro two branches one where theres an asymptote and one intersection where x=1. If theres an asymptote, theres no chance of it =ing to -1. Also just observe the denom x+1, so x=/-1

fast way to notice this is by observing the denominator. If x was -1 in that inequality you provided, you would get 2/0= infinite, which would obviously not satisfy the inequality. Therefore we do not include the x=-1 case.

I just started year 11 and ur throwing all these terms on me .

just multiply both sides by the denominator squared, note that denominator cannot equal 0
