🚨Do you feel like your Year 6 selective results do not reflect your true abilities? Is your academic potential being wasted at your current school? 🚨

The Selective School entry process in Year 6 is undoubtedly competitive, and many bright students face challenges in securing admission. 😡

However, from our experience, there are always second chances. 🌟 🙌

Did you know that during Years 7-11, nearly all selective schools hold entrance exams for new students to transfer into their school? 🤯 There are two main exams used for entrance in each of these schools, namely the EduTest and HAST test. 📚✨

The EduTest and HAST exams for these selective schools are coming up at the end of July 27-28th this year. And in these tests, there are five main sections you should be aware of for the EduTest: mathematics, numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, and written expression. For the HAST test, it's mathematical reasoning, reading comprehension, abstract reasoning, and written expression. 🗓📝

We are ‘Selective Specialists,’ a tutoring centre founded by high-achieving North Sydney Boys (Rank 1 High School in NSW) students who all transferred in during Years 7 to 10. We have specifically designed a program that caters towards these specific selective entrance exams such as the EduTest, HAST, school-specific exams, and other criteria such as applications and interviews, to assist those wanting to transfer into selective schools for Year 8-11 entry. 🎓💡

From our experiences, while the exam is very important for gaining admissions, applications and interview processes are also equally important. 🔄

The skills required to excel in all of these assessments are very different from the ones typically demanded from a standard high school setting. This, synthesized with a competitive process, makes it essential for additional preparation and correct guidance to cultivate the skills and strategies required to gain entry. 📚🔍

Our courses are meticulously designed to provide a comprehensive guide into the specific strategies used for every question type found across all sections of these selective exams. 🚀🎯

This will ensure that students are sufficiently prepared to feel confident and excel in an exam setting. 🌟

Whether you're a parent seeking to maximize your child's chance of getting accepted or a student lost in the limited information provided on selective entrance exams, Selective Specialists is your gateway to success. 🌐🏆

I haven't heard about the EduTest and HAST exam before. Is there specific requirements needed to take the exam? Also is the program you are offering specialised to each student?

Try and look into the specific sections tested in the HAST and EduTest and the some sample questions. I would advise against buying the sample EduTest papers from the EduTest website as they are much easier than the actual exam. I think getting the question timing for the exams is probably the most important aspect especially in the EduTest as it is very fast paced. If you are looking for any specific help regarding preparation feel free to contact us via email.

There are no specific requirements to take the exam any student who has completed the application forms for the schools can participate in the EduTest and HAST exam. We offer both group classes and private classes for HAST and EduTest. Private classes provide more specialised preparation for students. If you have any other questions or are interested in joining feel free to send an email to selectivespecialist@gmail.com
