Hi, I know I am only in year 11 but I would like to get a rough prediction based on my ranks. BTW i go to a high 50s low 60s school.

Physics: 40% (19/106) B6s '18'
Chemistry: 48% (36/108) B6s '18'
Modern History: 72% (7/41) B6s 1 (6 the year before)
Maths Advanced: 90% (~25-30/230) B6s '55'
Maths extension: 92% (7/91) B6s '21'
English advanced: 40% Dont know exact ranking but probably around (75/91) B6s '8'

Any help would be appreciated. @jimmysmith560

To clarify, ATAR estimates can be produced using year 11 results and ranks. A year 11 student is simply treated as a year 12 student for this purpose, although it obviously cannot cover potential changes in cohort size (for example, if students drop a subject) and individual student performance in year 12. It would therefore be good to request another ATAR estimate when in year 12 for greater accuracy.

Given this information, I believe that your current performance is consistent with an ATAR between 87 and 88. Mathematics Advanced and Mathematics Extension appear to be your best-performing subjects. You should therefore ensure that you continue to maintain your favourable performance in both subjects, especially in year 12, which is when everything counts.

Your performance seems slightly less favourable in Physics, Chemistry and Modern History. This could be due to the difficulty of your school's assessment tasks/exams and/or insufficient study/preparation from you. It is therefore important that you address areas of improvement and adjust your study strategy if necessary.

On the other hand, English Advanced is your lowest-performing subject. Because of this, you should do your utmost to improve your performance as much as possible, which will allow you to improve your rank. The higher your rank, the higher your Assessment Mark (the mark that reflects your internal performance and contributes 50% of your HSC mark in a subject) is likely to be.

I hope this helps! :D
