I'm planning to apply for early entry to design with the portfolio admission scheme in UNSW but I have no idea how to start it. I have been trying to find exemplars on other design portfolios to get inspiration, but I have found nothing at all well except 1. So I just need advice on how to start it and if anyone has examples, PLEASE SHARE <3. Also for anyone who did apply was it fairly easy to get in or was it really competitive?

UNSW doesn't have early entry unless you're living in a rural area or are from a very impoverished area (or under other rare circumstances). The entry pathway you are referring to is the portfolio entry, where you upload a project and they pretty much knock off 10 selection points from the course requirements. Should be noted that early entry doesn't mean you start uni early either, it just means you get accepted earlier, which portfolio doesn't do. Just send them your HSC engineering report which is good enough, assuming you did engineering, or just anything of the sorts. I personally haven't heard many kids who got their application rejected and if you are applying for engineering or comp, the 90 entry requirement is pretty low already but you gotta remember you have adjustment factors from band 5 and 6's and they usually will let you in with a +/- 5 difference.

fyi, If you're thinking of doing design for UX or UI, I got a mate in the same scenario, most employers are looking for front end and back end skills so considering doing a double with comp
