a) Some fingers can be empty?
b) None of the fingers can be empty?

Can this be solved using stars and bars?

If some fingers can be empty I think that it can be cheesed with ways because you can technically put 6 rings on any of the 4 fingers of your choice.

I was thinking that... but that would mean that they are all the same rings. It says that the rings are all different, so would you times it by 6fact?
