anyone reading that knows me or has seen me post abt being bad at essays pls dont mention it im already cooked enough exams at 11:30 tmr so i have a bit of time

so basically i have an essay for an unseen question. most ppl in my school are fully memorising an essay and hoping they can tweak it in the exam, they're chilling bc they're english gods or they have stopped studying and are praying for the best

so its too late for me to write a full essay and memorise it but its at 11:30 so i can memorise some analysis. but i just dont know where to start someone please help. how to write adaptable analysis thingies i can use in an exam? doesnt matter if its not aadaptable either i just need smth atp

in english i never memorised, coz our teachers recommended we didnt
if i was u id just memorise the core quotes and ideas, make sure u know the ideas as well as u can then you can write about it
but since u only have a few hours to cram, make sure you get down the quotes and context/significance as good as u can, coz thats the only thing u can do with such little time

I just only remembered the quotes, freestyled my two essays and produced straight up shit, but completed. That was today, and that was a pass. Plus the unseen question you'd probably get wouldn't require as much tweaking just like for me. Just answer the question. Or maybe it differs between schools.

Make sure you're confidentally familiar with your core analysis of the quote, because trust me, it would come automatically come to memory when you're in that "flow" zone. You don't want to spend so much time trying to remember the deeper meaning of your quotes because time is ticking... As for me, I wished I would've spent more time in remembering the analysis of my quotes more clearly, but I don't have photographic memory. Therefore, all my analysis was boggled down, dogwater shit, maybe incoherent. That's a lesson for me.

Yeah i reckon just remember evidence and key bits of analysis that u want to use for that specific evidence. Then on the day just waffle a bit and mould your analysis to the question.

I’m a qualified English teacher and although it might be a bit late for year 11 I’m happy to be a mentor for yout as you journey through year 12

You might as well do a test run like I did for the day before, then have someone mark it otherwise mark it yourself. Then see what mark you would get and have your expectations clear. Would ease a few uneasy qualms.
