My ranks aren't currently looking great, my school ranks about 90-120s, if I push for the HSC is a 90 atar possible? I dont wanna know my current projected but what I could achieve with these

Oh okay that makes sense, im hoping for a Band 6 in IPT/Maths and Hopefully Ext2 english

not to be rude, but im just wondering how u can get a band 6 for ext 2 english but not adv. I just do adv eng, but at least for maths, it is very unlikely for someone to e4 ext 1 math, and not get b6 in adv since the difficulty is so much easier for adv.

uh for math, its even more likely that someone may not get b6 in adv and still get e4 in ext. Currently thats probs me, my rank for ext is way better as compared to adv. ik so many people from last yr that got e4 in 3u but got like 86 ish in adv. Adv math is never hard, its just the sheer retardedness of questions that screws people over. for me at least, i find ext more amusing regardless of the difficulty, as the questions itself are better and not retarded. in terms of eng, people may do way better in 4u english as its a major work, so they have plenty of time (im guessing) to score and do well. Adv english can be very subjective, and in the end, 4u kids may not do that well there. Also, there's the 'cba' factor. many 4u eng kids just never try in adv because they can't be asked even when its going towards hsc, so they end up doing shittier in 2u than 4u. this is also me with 2u math, as the questions are either just too repetitive or boring, so i just end up always going on my phone when studying 2u.

yeah i agree with @bruhmoment. but to add to that they assess totally diff skills as well. the easiest way to explain it is that e2 english is a major work that is creative whereas advanced is more focused on analysis and interpretation. its a bit deeper than that but i dont want to write an essay here

e1 eng in my opinion is closer to adv than e2 in terms of how the course content looks so i find that there is more of a correlation between e1 and adv marks in english than e2 and the other 2 but again thats dependent on effort put into the course.

yea exactly, 4u can't really be even compared to adv, since 4u english doesn't even have a hsc exam.
