Hey everyone, I'm at the end of year 10. I kind of fooled around in year 10 English (despise the subject) and forced to do English Standard (NSW). The subjects I'm doing are:
Math Adv
English Standard (ES)
Business Studies (BS)
Software Engineering (SE)
Chemistry
Investigating Science (IS)
I'm confident in math adv, BS and SE and to a lesser extent Chemistry. It's English that's throwing me off, particularly English Standard as it's the one subject I'm doing miserably in. I plan to do tutoring in year 11 to prevent me from failing ES and doing well in it. I've been dooming myself these past few weeks into thinking I won't get a high ATAR or HSC results, especially due to ES. I have piss poor study habits and feel like I'll somehow screw myself into failing so I desperately need to work on that too. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated
On an alternate note, does any extra-curricular activities help with Uni applications or do they solely only care about ATAR. I currently do nothing so I'm worried. And do extra-curricular activities help with any Early Entry Schemes? I'd like to do something in Business, Law, Medicine or Economics. If I don't get a high enough ATAR, what are some alternate pathways or opportunities that can help me into the degree/course I desire
