What was the average 2024 ATAR?

median was 71.55. For those wondering why its not 50, that atar kind of includes all the people in our year group, including those who dropped out, pushing the median/mean atar of those who actually got one up above 50What was the average 2024 ATAR?
it's probably because of the subjects she chose. example, if she chose physics and got a 71 it wouldn't be the same as her getting a 71 in standard english - NESA scales those marks respectively to align with the difficulty of that subject as if everyone in the state sat it.Ca someone explain to me why my friend got an ATAR in the 60s when all her marks were over 71? (Four Band 4s and one Band 5). Is this becuase of rankings?
You can edit your signature as you received your atar...guessing you were 0.75 from a 99??? 98.25 isn't bad just sayingYeah na, my actual atar was .75 below what UAC was saying. My friend’s went up by an entire atar.

Aren’t you taking HECS?hey everyone, sorry if this was asked somewhere before. i got an offer for unsw, but scholarships are still “being assessed” and can be given all up to february. do i still follow along the enrolment and payment? how would that work if i get a scholarship later that could potentially cover all my course tuition but i already paid for first term?
i would presume my payment method shouldn’t influence the order of enrolment or scholarshipAren’t you taking HECS?
Scholarships are not just "paying course tuition", they're given to you as straight cash - the 6k I got is in the S&P500 now lmao. You also will not be paid your scholarship as soon as your application is accepted, often its split between several instalments over perhaps many years or terms. You're expected to enrol and the money will be given to you later. If you're relying on the scholarship to pay for Uni, good luck because 9/10 times you'll get rejected. Also, there is no reason to ever use scholarship money for Uni fees, you should always use HECS if you are eligible. The indexation rate over the last years is as follows:i would presume my payment method shouldn’t influence the order of enrolment or scholarship

I’m doing the exact same thing regarding hecs using a hisa (but without a scholarship because usyd hates my farm’s suburbScholarships are not just "paying course tuition", they're given to you as straight cash - the 6k I got is in the S&P500 now lmao. and its looking like 2025 will be back down to the 2%ish mark since the CPI has calmed down.
For context, the S&P500 returns an average of 10.13% per annum, and even a 0 risk High Interest Savings Account at westpac is 5.2% per annum. You are literally losing money by paying off your HECS because you can earn more money interest free by saving your money than the added interest you'll pay for HECS loans.
