Hi so basically I'm in Year 8 for high school and since it's the holidays I don't really have anything much to do (I have already done all of the past papers that our school has given us which is ezzz). Do you guys think that I should continue learning yr 12 content?

Basically its guaranteed that i will be doing 4u maths, physics, chemistry, english advanced (idc what ppl say, im not gonna change lol)

for 4u maths i have already completed mechanics and integration (i found those quite easy).

do you think that I should be doing something similar for the sciences? pls give me advice current yr 12 students or graduates

(p.s. im aiming for a 99.95 atar to flex on my cousin lol. also SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL called PokeBuddy12. im trying to make at least $10,000 dollars off it so i can buy a new gaming pc cuz my dad says its too expensive lol but i wanna prove him wrong)

ur probably gonna burn urself out by the time u reach to year 12 just chill for a bit and the syllabus changes from 2026 onwards i think so itll be harder to work ahead if u dont have up to syllabus textbooks

ok sure then i guess ill just stick to the maths subjects because i definitely think i can do it (and also its pretty relevant to yr 8+9 as some of the concepts transfer ))

bro this is absolutely crazy in year 8 maths i was playing skribbl io with my class in lockdown and this man allegedly doing 4u maths already

in terms of chem and phys, yeah if you can tackle 4u maths chem and phys gonna be easy. i would say it is possible definitely way easier than 4u maths. chem you can do balancing equations, basic reaction types, bonding, formulas. phys you could do basic equations of motion and vectors. i did this myself but in year 10 using khan academy. you don't have to use a textbook but just be aware they follow american curriculum there so the content won't be in the right order, but nevertheless still the same stuff.
you are in year 8 tho i wouldn't bother atp, maybe in year 9 or 10? just make sure you're actually enjoying a social life

do maths, informatics and science olympiads. learning 4u in y8 isnt very useful. your time would be better spent doing aimo/amo and building a stronger problem-solving base for later on (if u do decide to do something in stem)

also since i transferred to a selective school i dont have any friends lol i may as well just focus on my studies and get a good atar rather than trying to fit into pre-established freidn groups lol

oh also friend groups are defs not established by y8. try making more friends, being nicer and more social. can be from other schools as well and whatnot

to become a tutor i am aiming to get 99.95 and state rank in top 7 (at least) for 4u maths so thats why im starting now i guess

not many ppl tutor after uni so im not sure its worth doing 4 years of hsc stuff just to tutor for a couple years

being a good communicator is more important to tutoring than your atar. even if you have a 99.95, if you cant translate what youve done in your head into words the other person will understand then people wont want ur services. youre already doing 4u in hsc so i think its obvious youll get a good atar. i think its more important you socialize with other people now so you can strengthen ur social skills. you could also offer to help other ppl in ur class or friends with their subjects so u can practise teaching
