I did my HSC in 2023, since I went to a gateway school for most of year 12 I was eligible for early entry at UNSW to study Mathematics. The ATAR needed was only 68 after early entry lowered it by 12. Don't stress if you get a low atar since there is always IPT in uni. I know plenty of people who got ATARS in 65-75 range and now going to UNSW. Since you go to a top 5 selective school you won't get an ATAR that low but just saying for all the others here.

For atar you'd definitely need like 98+ to be competitive so considering your school being ranked so high try to rank top 15ish in most of your subjects depending on the b6 rate for your subjects- you wanna be aiming for as many b6 and high b5 as possible^^

99.5 and 99 lat for offers from both

yes, unsw and usyd are more competitive for law, but they're also much more difficult course and marking wise and much more respected by employers. it's probably easier to either: transfer in undergrad with a HD (85+) wam from an easier degree, or do the post-grad JD which is substantially the same.

the median LAT for entry is typically around 75
