Ohh ok that makes senseThat you can’t say. A lot of people who show up to the ruse test, also apply for Baulkho, same can be said for people who show up to the Baulkho test. But Baulkho ig is the more popular choice amongst all tiered selective school students
Yeah I thought ruse would have more people applying because it has more spotswait why
i thought ruse would have more
Yeah I thought ruse would have more people applying because it has more spots
no ruse would be a popular choice for like the top 10-20 ranked schools. Whilst Baulkho is a popular choice for even like 20+ ranked schools as well as <20 ranked schools. Also it depends on the year. There could be more for ruse in year 9 entry, but I mean given what schools everyone tries to transfer to, it usually is baulkho and then ruseOhh ok that makes sense
Ohh ok. So baulko basically has more transfers for yr 9 right?no ruse would be a popular choice for like the top 10-20 ranked schools. No ruse has more transfers by 5 more people but more people apply for Baulkho because Baulkho accepts a higher proportion of people from lower ranked schools than ruseOhh ok. So baulko basically has more transfers for yr 9 right?
Ohh ok. Do you think I have a better shot at ruse or baulko? I'm thinking of applying for only ruse and penrith right nowNo ruse has more transfers by 5 more people but more people apply for Baulkho because Baulkho accepts a higher proportion of people from lower ranked schools than ruse
I think you should also apply for Baulkho. It’s not uncommon for ruse to select people from 40+ schools let alone 70+ schools, but the chances are definitely more slimmer at ruse than Baulkho. You should apply for all three, baulkho, ruse and Penrith. You have good chances for Baulkho and Penrith for year 9 entry because ruse usually takes on top 10 or lower schools for year 9. From then on, some people go on to transfer again to ruse in y10 or y11sOhh ok. Do you think I have a better shot at ruse or baulko? I'm thinking of applying for only ruse and penrith right now
yh there used to be no test for some schools, but now they make you do one for entry into all selective schools from year 8-11i did portfolio method (i just submitted my reports, extra-curriculars, etc and then did an interview, no test) for y8 entry into a top 5 school but i think i was an exception bc of covid + i was interstate at the time??
I think the results have come out, as we've had students receive offers for Hurlstone. You have to wait and see though some spots may open based on who accepts/rejects offers.Guys anyone hear from hurlstone for year 10 entry I haven’t heard anything from them yet
How likely is it to get into hurlstone for year 10 entry if you are on reserve and approximately how many people would be on reserve?I think the results have come out, as we've had students receive offers for Hurlstone. You have to wait and see though some spots may open based on who accepts/rejects offers.
except fort st lolyh there used to be no test for some schools, but now they make you do one for entry into all selective schools from year 8-11
what message were u replying to lol
apply 4 girra or hurlstone as back up cuz u have good chances im telling from experience rnOhh ok. Do you think I have a better shot at ruse or baulko? I'm thinking of applying for only ruse and penrith right now
Okayy I'll have back up schools as wellapply 4 girra or hurlstone as back up cuz u have good chances im telling from experience rn
For year 10 entry, both penrith and girraween open around 30 spots so it would be the best year to apply for. I know someone who got into penrith and they got top 10% for all subjects except for 1, where they got top 15%.Guys how likely is it for me to make Girraween or Penrith next year for y10 entry and what’s like the minimum hast mark needed?
Also do they care much about excs cause I’ve been trying to find some but there’s barely anything worth my time![]()
n yes they do care abt ur exc cuz the panel/board selection review ur portfolio to differentiate among kids who got rlly good marks yk to decreases the number of kids 4 interview/offer (penrith does that from experience btw). Minimum hast mark i feel is within the top 10 (low max) or high 15(min) cuz previous kids n this yrs kids got in 4 interview, high reserve (which then changes to interview or direct offer when other students decline it ) or offer with that marksGuys how likely is it for me to make Girraween or Penrith next year for y10 entry and what’s like the minimum hast mark needed?

How many exc do you think would be enough to stand out?n yes they do care abt ur exc cuz the panel/board selection review ur portfolio to differentiate among kids who got rlly good marks yk to decreases the number of kids 4 interview/offer (penrith does that from experience btw).
