For anybody who did the Pacific Conflict option A what did you talk about I talked about pearl harbour, fall of dutch east indies and Japanese overextension in their defensive perimeter

I did this:
BP1: Pearl Harbour -> Start of the '6 months of glory'
BP2: Advance into SEA/Southern Pacfic -> Overextension and victory disease taking hold, leading to overconfidence
BP3: Coral Sea + Midway -> Loss at Midway significantly altered the course of the war
BP4: Guadal Canal + New Guinea -> Changed the course of the war irrevocably, fully ending the Japanese war and in the process turning the course of the pacifc war in the allies favour

and said the advance significanctly altered the course of the pacific war

The question directly tests the Japanese advance 1941–1942 and the impact of the fall of the Philippines, Singapore, Burma and the Dutch East Indies dot point so as long as you mentioned all four and discussed them in the essay you'll be ok

did anyone do the 2nd russia question about the growth of the communist party through his political transformation?? i had no idea how to answer that

Yah I did, and I basically just talked about how growth of the party didn't matter as much as terror + qualitative growth over quantitative

Sorry I'm seeing this so late I had to lock in for maths hahahha
100% bad question I've seen lots of people complain about it for such a valid reason!! It was such a niche piece of knowledge it almost felt like it should've been a multiple choice especially since there was only technically one right answer
Don't worry whatsoever I'm sure even modern teachers would agree it was a very odd question!

haha it was bad in terms of the source but it wasn’t like u had to analyse the source and it left it broad
the downside was that we studied everything for core but basically every question was just impact on life in nazi germany which is ez sure but yeah waste of study time

Yes that sucks it's the WORSTTT when you lock in for an exam and have so much knowledge to show and the questions just don't allow you to demonstrate it

highkey i'm really gonna miss history... but i might end up picking it as a major or minor for uni so

im gunna miss learning the content, not studying for the exam lol
