The ATAR for this course is 90.25 but I scored 89.60.
What's the likelihood of them accepting me? I heard ages ago that they can be lenient when the mark is close enough (Say within 2 marks). Additionally, I live in a rural area, so I might get that taken into account.
Anyone know? I'm a bit...
Ancient History - 90
Advanced English - 82
Mathematics - 83
PD/H/PE - 90
SORII - 86
And an estimation of my ATAR is 89.95. Please give me a 0.05 higher! :P
69/100 (Teehee)
Then again, I didn't finish two of the 12 mark questions :| I did dot points for both and I got 10/12 for one and 3/12 or something for the other XD
Sooooo gonna work harder for the HSC!
Yes, that would definitely make sense. Queensland's ranking system is to do with OPs, ranked from 1-25. 1 is the best, 25 is the lowest. For the majority of Queensland courses, the average entry rank is around 10-15, so yes, I would assume that 14 would be the required OP to enter that course...
Overall it was pretty spectacular.
Section I - sweet
Section II - also sweet
Section III - a little unexpected, but sweet
Section IV - ran out of time, but I condensed my writing enough to get all of my points in
Hopefully gonna get 20+ for all sections. Band 6 would be excellent! :)
Section III was terrible. Apparently the BOS said that the questions were drawn from our studies of Ethics or Practices. I used examples from Marriage in Judaism, so that's a relief. As for the peace question, it wasn't too bad. Took me a minute to comprehend what it was asking, then went on...
I did Suu Kyi and Atwood. I said that Suu Kyi deals with issues of justice and while Atwood's sppech has overtones of justice, it is not a key issue in her speech. Hurray for making a judgement!
The question wasn't too bad. I think I did well in the profound insight part but kinda failed in the diverse bit. Didn't write enough, either. I basically talked about how the notions of right or wrong (justice) come down to perspective. There is no clear definition of right or wrong, and it...
I would mention a few things: Akhenaten as the sole mediator between the Egyptians & the Aten (Quote from the Hymn to the Aten: "There is no other who knows you") ), The change in kingship (i.e. Elevation of kingly status to a divine being rather than being the representative of the...
