And BTW, another story I wrote in year 10 that can possibly relate to your concept is of a young girl, who moves to the "urban wilderness" of the city, and leaves her rural life. She is astounded by the hustle and bustle, the increased levels of crime, the amount of money-greedy people, and eventually witnesses a murder which transpires as a result of this. She basically feels like her innocence has been lost and that she doesn't belong anymore. That kind of thing might be useful.
