  • hi!
i saw a post you wrote in regards to you using ferghsc marking. I'm not sure if I like some of there marking. Just wondering, what types of marks do you get from them out of 20? reading posts it sounds like you are an excellent english student so just wanted to know if they are significantly harder/easier/normal markers.
    thanks! :)
Lol don't worry about repaying me lmao. I gave it to you because I wanted to help :p. The notes aren't mine (except for the Hatshepsut plans, P+H 10 marker plans and Sparta notes). Mostly the notes are the ones my teacher made, so yeah :p
Hey, yeah I write fairly big - especially for English. I think I write about 4-5 words a line on the HSC booklets. Except when I get up to Augustus I get up to 3 words a line. What options do you do for Ancient? If you would like my notes, please PM me your email, I have some great resources for Hatshepsut and Pompeii and would be glad to share them with you.
thankyou! yeah .. i guess i need to know my content better . but is there any particular structure? i always get marked down on 'structure' but when i asked my teacher about it she never really gives me a proper response (she's got her favourites and i'm not one of them haha) . so intro should be brief with definitions, then should each starting sentence of body be a link to Q and do you need definitions there too? then brief conc? hope i'm no bother! thanks.
Just keep on going with it, I know how tough it can be as I was in your position a year ago (I dont envy you believe me). But there are many people whose study is going way worse believe me. If anything, judging by what you have told me, I reakon your ahead of most. Sorry for the double message, it was too long combined.
Eight hours is heaps man - dont worry I remember feeling like it wasnt enough as well, but it should be ok. Thinking back now to how much I did, it was more then enough so just keep that in mind. Working on maths is a really good idea as a mid-band 5 would be a big step towards you getting the ATAR you want. Obviously dont neglect eco and ancient, but judging by the amount you are studying altogether I reakon you will be fine.

With law/commerce, you pretty much do assignments for the first 3/4 of the semester, then as soon as your over them all, you gotta start studying for your final exams. If you have a good work ethic and you get on top of things quickly, then university is way easier then HSC in terms of workload and stress.
With UAC preferences, make sure the first one is the one you want to do the most. Whilst this seems obvious many people dont follow this rule for some reason. I filled all nine estimates, so put as many combinations as you want (I'm pretty sure they have different amounts of positions for each combo - but I'm not 100% sure on this).

About the studies, just try and hang in there. One thing I noticed about studying for the trials and externals is that it never feels like enough - no matter how much you do. Also, you should try and keep a balance between study and rest, the more intense you are the harder it is to remain focused. Like I said, stick with it, its only another few more weeks then freedom - followed hopefully by a spot at MQ law!
Good idea sticking with your goal of law - I think you have a real good chance. The most stressful time of the HSC year is yet to come though - the day before you get your results.

PS. Did you get my estimate, I think I sent it to myself by mistake?
