Hahaha yeah, though now I can't sing at all
I think that's the best way to deal with spirituality.
To simply have your own take on a religeon, to believe in whatever you believe, and if someone asks, and you don't feel like explaining in detail, you can pick the religion closest to the beliefs you already hold.
That's the thing about organised religion. It superimposes this superficiality onto itself and tries to define it's followers through beliefs they hold in common. And defining yourself to someone elses standards is not what spirituality is about.
The Christian bible doesn't define how to pray.
Everyone has their own way of doing it.
Some people do just recite verses of the bible, but to me that is quite pointless.
I like to just close my eyes and speak to god.
(or at least, my take on god - Long story)
and I don't know (or even care) if he/she/it cares.
and I don't expect any actuall help from above.
But it is a comfort to say it and to believe someone is listening.
