Do you want to go to a US or UK University?

ANU and USyd are both Go8, Group of Eight (Go8) is just a group of the older ("sandstone") research focussed universities in Australia - ANU, USyd, UNSW, Melbourne, Monash, UWA, UQ and Adelaide

    b science b business help

I studied Engineering/Business at UTS and knew many others studying Eng/Business or IT/Business, most people will generally get a career in one field or the other (for Eng students it's generally engineering, for it/business it's usually business from what i've seen). I'll answer about...

    Atar Estimate

Those are a bit different as they are based off actual HSC marks, which is far more of a science than pre-HSC estimations as there are standardised marks and scaling data to go off. Those apps still exist, but the BoS one (SAM) went stale back in the days of UAI afaik -- multiple tutoring...

    Are atar calculators reliable?

Haha, when I was referring to "low" above I was meaning more 30-75! You'll definitely see more pronounced discrepancies around 80-90s across the differrent calculators, but the discrepancies can be massive in the truly low ATARs.

    Are atar calculators reliable?

I haven't used any recently, but yes you would just have to double the mark so it's out of 100.

    Are atar calculators reliable?

They use your final mark (external and internal), they are reasonably accurate but note that they use previous data and that UAC only provide a limited amount of data. Variance will likely be due to different years data and how much tuning has been done for the models beyond what UAC provided...

    Anyone do Computer Science?

I don't know how it works at every university/course, but generally you would get invited to study honours if you meet some minimum grade (nothing too high). It's a bit non standard, but you can even do honours at a different university to where you completed your undergraduate degree or...

    Anyone do Computer Science?

Should be fine then, if you want to distinguish yourself from other students then just get involved in extra curricular stuff relevant to your goals and if you want to do something more research oriented or join a top company consider doing honours. I know people that got offers or jobs from...

    Anyone do Computer Science?

Double degree won't really help unless it's in something directly related to a job you are applying for. Even then, that would just be a benefit to someone in that position as opposed to a negative for someone not having that experience. It's hard to find good software developers, data...

    Moderation??

Half of your HSC mark is still externals, if you "smash" externals then that is also one more Band 6 external mark in the mix for moderation which (everything else equal) would push up your internal mark.

Band 2 in General mathematics 2 to Engineering

Computer engineering isn't far off electrical engineering which is one of the math heavier engineering majors. If you want to do engineering (but especially electrical), you'd have to buckle down and improve at maths and fill in your gaps. You'd need a reasonable grasp of 2U and 3U maths to...

    Maths Extension 2 predictions/thoughts?

@sharky564 has posted some here: https://boredofstudies.org/threads/my-solutions-to-the-2019-mathematics-extension-2-paper.388915

    ATAR Calculator

They are reasonably accurate if you are working with HSC marks generally. But if you are working with raw internal marks etc., then it won't be very accurate as HSC marks are aligned.

    ATAR Calculator

Either there isn't much data provided from UAC about the lower range of marks, or the different calculators haven't really been optimised for marks in that range. I haven't seen the UAC data/tables for a few years, but it's likely a combination of both of those. The calculators are also...

    Inflation

For completeness, there's also been ideas thrown around recently about removing or discouraging cash. In that event, a lot of the conventional economic wisdom discussed above gets thrown away as it removes the ~0% floor on interest rates and could ban hoarding of money outside of the financial...

    Recommendations for computer monitors.

It's been a few years since i've looked into monitors, so I have no suggestions, but if you weren't already planning it i'd highly recommend getting 2 monitors!

Wouldn't doing easy subjects and getting high marks in them be better than doing harder ones

I'd still recommend you give advanced english a go! There's some discussion it here: https://www.boredofstudies.org/threads/english-advanced-workload.388014/#post-7311316

Wouldn't doing easy subjects and getting high marks in them be better than doing harder ones

There's merit to both approaches, if you do poorly then picking a high scaling subject is irrelevant. Picking subjects to your strengths should ensure you perform well, but in some scenarios those subjects just may scale poorly. For most people, I don't think the scaling of a subject is going to...

If I get good marks in IPT does that mean I will be good at IT?

If you enjoy IPT and can do well in it, think it's a good sign you might do well in IT. But as others have said "IT" (or more specifically the whole ICT industry) is broad. IPT focusses on just some parts of the industry, there's a lot more. Off the top of my head the popular career paths in ICT...
