    English Advanced Predictions/Thoughts

    i would lol although a split mod C (analysis or reflection idc) is ideal regardless since there's less pressure

    how to memorise the rubric for english

    its been said already pretty much but the questions are derived from key words in the rubric so just keep some in mind/look up definitions if you don't know what they mean

    Biology Predictions/Thoughts

    some more probable ones - something to do with 5.5 and talking about a project used to collect population genetics information - how a named australian plant responds to a named pathogen - bush medicine used by Aboriginal peoples, maybe a question on intellectual property of Aboriginal peoples'...

    Ext 1 English predictions

    i feel like they might use one of those weird listed words in the rubric: 'experiences of individuals and communities seeking unity, certainty, solace, justice or restoration' but i have no real reasoning for this lol - only done the 2019 and 2020 hsc papers so far.. idk whether i should...

    English Advanced Predictions/Thoughts

    yeah a teacher at my school mentioned its one of the better ones to use since it shows how eliot's poems change over time or something along those lines i mean its only one page so there's only so much to remember which is good

    Chemistry Predictions/Thoughts

    there's always some mod 8 question where you have to look at nmr/mass spectrum/infrared i think - they either give you a compound and you have to justify it or you have to find the compound (esters or aldehyde/ketone probably since they're a bit harder to narrow down) and i feel like back...

    English Advanced Predictions/Thoughts

    istg if they specify discursive... imaginative writing is the only thing i have faith in with advanced :cry: my mod a is awful and ts eliot is a pain i think if mod c isn't just a 20 mark composition they'll do something weird like analysis for 10 marks and composition for 10 marks - my trials...

    Mod B Essay

    hmm i'm not entirely sure i think you could mention it when discussing eliot's work holistically e.g. "[theme] is explored beyond [syllabus poem] in Eliot's other works of the time, such as in 'The Waste Land', reflecting the prevalence of..." but you can probably find the theme in other poems...

    Mod B Essay

    i think collective pronouns are fine but personal ones will sound 'too colloquial' - you could get marked down based on the marking criteria "uses language appropriate to audience, purpose and form"

    Is there a way to “read” (for lack of any better term) a chemistry question? Is there a certain pattern to them?

    this isn't for every question obv but for longer ones like back titrations or ones with a lot of dilution it helps to draw diagrams!! and writing chemical equations based on what i said in the equation can also give you something to go off of (finding moles, conc, etc) also just identifying the...

    mod 8 chem

    solubility rules are useful i find that questions that rely on you knowing exact colours of precipitates don't come up much though? i feel like i've seen a multiple choice where you had to know that barium is a green flame and calcium is a red flame but otherwise it's not the most important...

    what are your guys holiday study plans?

    trying to do 4 hrs a day for now, will probably increase when i do more past papers - trying to have variety each day with what i study so i don't burn out hopefully

    yr 11-> 12 chem

    as said before you need gibbs free energy but the formula is on the formula sheet so just remember what each letter means ΔG° = ΔH° - TΔS° G - gibbs free energy ΔH - change in enthalpy T - temperature of the reaction ΔS - change in entropy and for module 1 uhh just keep module 1 gravimetric...

    who marks major works?

    it's NESA right? since it would be anonymous? I'm so confused because my teacher said she and 3 other teachers marked everyone's works and we got marks back (which were not very good but that's besides the point) But that's not how it works right? sorry if this makes no sense :confused2:

    What artists and artworks are you guys doing for Visual Arts?

    my three main options are 'sunflower seeds' by ai weiwei, 'early color interiors' by laurie simmons, and 'portrait of mnonja' by mickalene thomas kind of random ones tbh

  19. roseviolett

    using epigraphs in short story?

    I can't find anywhere online whether I would be allowed to use an epigraph (given that it is credited) since it's not an official published work idk how copyright applies :confused2:
