    Probably on a rolling basis.

    Cadetships 2017

Are there any Law cadetships floating around? Pitcher Partners is open on the 16th of May.

    ATAR Estimate

Do you know how many B6's your school received for each of the subjects? How about providing raw marks for your current exams? That way, it'll be more of an accurate estimation.

    Admission below cut off

It's because there are bonus points offered for that course, of course students would have an atar below that cutoff. Seriously, not targeting you, but the article is especially misleading because it does not take into account of bonus points, which the majority can have at UNSW. That's why...

    UBS Cadetship

Yeah, something around that. But I bet the ones that get accepted to UBS have 90+

    UBS Cadetship

I agree, but as seen in the cadet profiles, 2 out of 3 go to a GO8. Still, UBS is harder to get into than UNSW, considering its reputation and long-term investment.

    UNSW chit chat thread

Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2017 From a non-biased perspective, trimesters are less helpful towards students seeking for internships, as it disadvantages them from completing their degree early upon failure. On the other hand, trimesters allow students to finish their degree earlier, where the...

    UNSW chit chat thread

Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2017 So if people don't get into internships, and they skip out on their third semester, their degree would be extended by how long?

    UNSW chit chat thread

Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2017 But what's the reason for UNSW to implement these new changes, isn't it fine as a semester?

    2018ers Preliminary Chit Chat Thread

Economics isn't really content heavy, just make sure you understand the concepts in year 11 because they go more in depth in year 12. Everyone is different, but personally, Economics is really interesting. You'll be able to apply it in real life and the HSC topics that you do in yr 11&12 are...

    ATAR Estimate

Isn't it hard to give estimates when someone is rank 1-2 of their school? It's hard to give approximations because it all depends on their external performance and of course this depends on the person, not necessarily the cohort.

    2018ers Preliminary Chit Chat Thread

It's true. Ask all the yr 12s at your school :)

What ATAR/UMAT should I aim for to be competitive for medicine in 2018?

Sorry for being lazy, I'll link it in the morning but there is an image that gives the guidelines of entry for each uni for med. EDIT: Linked below (iStudent) :)

    Answer This Please

Usually they'll have one root change and the otherones fixed. For example, let one root be the sum of the other two. Then roots be a+b, a and b.

    complex numb

It's basically if the circle is a larger circle or a smaller circle. This is demonstrated through the angle.

    Cadetships 2017

I guess you're right, because it is quite early with the grad applications and stuff. Usually they open during May and do the interviews in the hols. It's good to see a fellow HSC 2017er interested in cadetships. Hard to the competitiveness these days.

    Answer This Please

    Let roots be XY, X, Y. Sum of Roots = -b/a = -a = XY + X + Y Sum of Product of Roots = c/a = X^2 Y + XY^2 + XY = 36 Prod. of Roots = -d/a = X^2 Y^2 = 36 X^2 Y + XY^2 + XY = XY(X+Y+1) = 36 XY = 6 Therefore X+Y+1 = 6 X+Y = 5 Therefore 6 + 5 = -a Therefore = a = 11
