Oh my school doesn’t have any sort of benchmark for SDD and literally anyone can do it. Also it’s pretty illogical to think someone good at maths will do well in SDD seeing as who different those two subjects are.

    Selective schools debate

The whole point of a selective school is to group kids of similar intellect, in hopes of increasing their academic performance. This I guess does work but it can also have the opposite effect of making someone think they aren’t smart because they are surrounded by people who do better, so it...

Well I’ll just have to see whether I enjoy it. Cause everyone likes and hates different subjects.

If I drop both id only have 8 units cause jap cont and ext are accelerated, so not really an option. And a guaranteed band 6 seems like a nice thing tho? Why would you drop a guaranteed band 6?

I did originally want to go into a maths degree but I’m pretty sure an actuarial degree is more employable and it still has maths so that’s why I’m going for it. However if there is a maths degree that is more employable I would definitely opt for that but so far I haven’t found one.

I self study. I don’t particularly think I need tutoring, but if I were to start dropping I might consider.

Aren’t we all though? But nonetheless there is no point in stressing yourself. Just be keen about a new Beginning lmao at least that’s how I see it.

    #welcome #general-chat

Yea there are heaps of essays but if you enjoy it you shouldn’t drop it.
  15. W

    #welcome #general-chat

Haha no. I find it sorta boring, even tho it’s probably my best science haha. But I’m picking based on whether I’ll enjoy it or not.

I feel like the new syllabus is a lot more focused on understanding concepts than being able to regurgitate facts and I feel I would thrive better in the new syllabus tbh.

Tbh I don’t really mind the lack of resources. At the end of the day if you know the whole syllabus then you know it. Yea resources are good for practicing and perfecting your techniques but as long as you understand the concepts well then it’s fine. I’ve also had a massive head start and so far...

Tbh it has to be maths by a long shot. It’s just so interesting haha.
