99.85 ATAR | Selling HSC Legal (97), English (96) and Eco (95 Ext.) Notes and Essays!

Re: 99.85 ATAR | Selling HSC Legal (97), English (96) and Eco (95 Ext.) Notes and Ess As can be seen by his amazing results, Ray is a pillar of excellence in the academic arena. Perhaps his best feat in said arena was cramming the day before his economics trial exam and walking out with a...

    A taste of higher mathematics!

Do you plan to go through generating functions? I came across the while looking at the Fibonacci sequence and it seems quite interesting.

    Sounds interesting, can't wait!

How to do this hard integral. Partial fraction

Yes, I know that, but I felt showing the generalised case might be better for turntaker given they seem to be having trouble either understanding the process - how it works - or are simply not practised enough :). Nice explanation btw, hopefully turntaker will find it useful if they read over it.

Need help with partial fractions integral question

\frac{4}{(x-1)^2)(x+1)^2}=\frac{Ax+B}{(x-1)^2}+\frac{Cx+D}{(x+1)^2}, and you decompose these again.

How to do this hard integral. Partial fraction

No it means you need more practice :). I think that you should see how you fare after you've done your first assessment and see what happens from there. If you do well, you should keep it; if you do OK but think you could have done better, likewise, and if you did really bad don't hesitate to...

How to do this hard integral. Partial fraction

Don't be so hard on yourself, most of us were pretty bad starting out :). Generally when you decompose partial fractions, you let the expression in the numerator be of a degree one less than that of the denominator; so as the denominators are quadratics the numerators are linear...

    Poly question (extension Cambridge q)

Division transformation is that you can express a polynomial A (the dividend), with divisor D, quotient Q and remainder R as: A=DQ+R, and the degree of R is less than that of D. So try thinking about what D and R are :). If you still can't figure it out I'll show you how to do it :). And the...

    Two MC questions

I'm not too flash at physics myself, but I'll have a go, though I take 0 responsibility for lost ATAR gains. The answer for the second one is B, because if you just look at the left and right, what you have is essentially a solenoid - you have current running through a coil of wire- so you just...
