I would suggest doing 10 units because doing 12 units is just like setting yourself up for fail for that extra 2 units so why waste time on it? But 11 units is also a good idea if you are not confident with English (do Adv and Ext 1 English) as they can take half of each to make up one score...

I would suggest picking up Advanced English over standard as the exams are only slightly harder but standard marking is a lot more harsh and requires the same amount of preparation as Advanced, and also because Adv scales SIGNIFICANTLY better. I would also look into taking Extension 1 Maths if...

D Depends on your cohort. You cant generalise how well a school does at a certain subject based as it will all be inconsistent.

english was easy, i have heard ancient and eco were easy too... i wonder if this is all a coincidence

just dont come bottom 10% and honestly nothing else matters but externals i think your school scaling you down refers to how if your school is a really low ranking school, then if you do bad in internals, then your assessment mark would likely be a low score too just because your cohort cant...
