What do I do in a networking event?

Haha yes I will take that on the chin - I'll make the most of it next time :D

    Not attending a HSC exam?

Plus if they had an issue about it they would have told you after the exam that they're reporting you or whatever.

How long should we be aiming for to write an E4 response?

How many words are your essay and creative? They expect around 1.3k-1.4k words each (so roughly around 17+ pages altogether). Obviously it's quality > quantity but since they ask for so much to be included in our essays you'd need that many words to have a good solid argument.

Measurement and scale of a Selective and a Non-Selective

Haha I don't think it's as simple as the principal simply "choosing" to spend school money on other things... I know for public schools (and obviously private would have salary budgets too) there is only a certain number of teachers they can hire based on how many students there are so obviously...

    Early Entry vs. ATAR

People were posting photos of their emails or whatever from UOW saying that you are expected to maintain the academic standards you showed in your application/interview... but since it's just an "expectation" (and not a requirement) I doubt they'd withdraw any offers but in the extreme case of...

What do I do in a networking event?

This is exactly what I did. Tried to get some wine but freaked out. Managed one measly conversation but it was so awkward so I just went home early.

    Smuggling Food/Drinks into HSC

I have snuck in lollies before but to be fair they were already in my mouth. I'm not sure if food is allowed though. I know my school doesn't allow food in the exam room but I'm not sure if that's also a BOS stipulation for HSC Best to ask your HSC supervisors

    Need Advice

I can't really help you with anything but business haha If your school doesn't provide you with a business textbook (but I'm sure they will) then definitely get one - I'd recommend Business Studies in Action (and probably best to get a more recent - if not the most recent - edition so you get...

What do I do in a networking event?

Hey guys, so I'm going to the institute of international affairs' careers evening and they have a networking with careers advisers, young professionals and international organisations segment that goes on for like an hour. But having just graduated from high school with like 0 real world...

How to write a two-perspective story in the exam?

Haha trust me you won't even need to do that - they would know + thousands of kids before us have probably done it before. Plus, you might be insulting their intelligence ;)

What if you forgot to tick the box?

Lol I feel you I'm still recovering from Mod B :frown2: But yeah don't stress about it it'll be fine XD

How can I improve my spoken English?

I find that to get better at speaking you have to improve your writing first. I would suggest working on expanding your vocabulary and improving your authenticity by doing a lot of comprehension exercises or free writing practice (I'm assuming your teacher would have resources but if not google...

How to write a two-perspective story in the exam?

I use asterisks or stars to separate my vignettes and POVs - they should be able to work out that there is a shift in perspectives from there I'm pretty sure this year they only want black pen (for English anyway) so refrain from using different colours since they don't scan well or something

    95 atar?

What rank is your school? because it depends on that. But obviously getting a higher rank will give you the best chances so try your hardest and do your best to be in top 3-5 You can also try http://www.matrix.edu.au/atar-calculator/ reverse ATAR calculator (note that when it says HSC mark...

What if you forgot to tick the box?

Dw it'll be fine I doubt anything will actually go wrong but you can ask a teacher to make sure if you're really worried Besides there was the blue slip you filled out indicating the number of booklets you had + at the front of the booklet you had to write if it was 1 of 3 or 2 of 2 so it's not...

General thoughts: English Advanced Modules Paper 2

Mod A was really good - couldn't have hoped for a better question I screwed up Mod B Hamlet though like I'm actually ready to die. The question was so easy and I was so hell-bent on integrating the quote and question (since I always get penalized for not doing that) that I kinda neglected...

    Critics

^ pretty much It says in marking criterias (and not just from 2012 either) that you don't need critics to get full marks However it does bolster your argument and makes it adds the "critical" aspect to it since it shows you did research + in the half yearly in the comments section it was...
