Cut-off will probably be around 65 as usual.

16)c)iii) is not (-1)^n Like people have already said, have to divide by co-efficient of x^2n.

Don't have one, I tutor quite a few students so I get the good questions from them (like Q15/16 mostly).

This happens every year. In my year (2013) we had like 20 people from those schools claiming 100 raw as well. Turned out when results came out that only like the top 3 in the state had a 100 HSC mark (which doesnt even mean 100 raw, could be 98 or 99). They might be fussy with marking and...

The way you do this using the question: You want n to go to infinity, this means that there are infinite amount of rows. So what happens is when you put a black counter in a column, you dont actually change the amount of spaces left in that column since there are an infinite amount of spaces...

Probably around low to mid 80's depending on cut-offs.

This is a really nice way of showing the extended version, using a circle and chords. http://www.artofproblemsolving.com/wiki/index.php/Root-Mean_Square-Arithmetic_Mean-Geometric_Mean-Harmonic_mean_Inequality

The inequality was something called the QM-GM which is just the AM-GM extended to the QM-AM-GM-HM but without the AM and HM.

1/2 cos its either to the left of 2, or the right of 2. Only two possibilities.

    Is Math really that important?

Pretty much what has already been said. As long as your course doesn't have maths in it you'll be fine. But even something such as commerce has maths in it and you should probs know a bit of maths for it.

    Extension 2 BOS Trial 2015 Results/Documents

I was first internally in my school and got mid 60's back in 2013 in bos trials. HSC exam I did shit, so nah doesn't guarantee anything.

    Multiple Choice Marking

Still it's advanced. Add on only about 1 in 8 people get 17+/20.

    2012 raw marks

    93-94

    Multiple Choice Marking

I'm not sure about economics, but I assume it's similar to English. I know for advanced, module B the average is around 11/20 usually, and module A and C are a bit higher at around 13/20.

    Multiple Choice Marking

I think you are severely under-estimating how harsh HSC essays are marked.
  17. RealiseNothing

    AM-GM inequality

Quote something like L'Hopital's and you'll get 0.

Paper 2 conundrum - any sensible advice or reassurance appreciated! :O

I did the same thing in my HSC. You will be fine.
