What are you going to do the moment you finish your HSC ?

So you will be crawling through piles of crap? Sounds fun :), can I join?
  2. TheOptimist

Predictions for 6/7 marker questions this year?

Self ionization of water? H20+H20 <--> H30+ + OH- Lol the only thing you could write about this is water's amphiprotic nature in terms of B-L definition of acids/bases, and conjugate acid/base pairs etc

    BOD....

    Your assumption is correct :)
  6. TheOptimist

    BOD....

P.S. Do you really do 16 units?
  7. TheOptimist

    BOD....

Biochemical Oxygen Demand, I don't think there is any difference, however this is the terminology of the syllabus so it would be wise to use it. BOD is really the implicit measurement of organic matter present in a water system. You can measure it by measuring the initial dissolved oxygen (by...

    CM&M Dotpoint

So what are you guys going to do if you receive a question based on this dotpoint (in CM&M) in the HSC?: • gather, process and present information on the features of the local town water supply in terms of: - catchment area - possible sources of contamination in this catchment -...

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

Couple of things: -Haemaglobin boosts the bloods oxygen carrying capacity by 100 times, as oxygen usually has very low solubility in the water of the blood plasma. -Haemaglobin consists of 4 haem groups, and thus is able to carry 4 molecules of oxygen for every haemaglobin molecule --> boosts...

    Atar estimate

You could have bumped up your old thread....
  13. TheOptimist

    atar - any hopes ??

Realistically Aysce is right, idyllically you should have been in the top 5 for every one of your subjects, and the marks that you would need for a 95 in the HSC now may be too high, that being said imo your at 85/86, if you have smashed the external exams then it may be different.
  14. TheOptimist

    ATAR estimate please!

imo 82/83 :), please do consider that Year 11 does not correlate to Year 12, things change, so remain consistent in your work and keep your head up high, with this attitude I could see you smashing that goal of 75 :)
