@pikachu975 is better person than me to answer this I'm in first year first term of actuarial studies + maths and so far the hard bit of actuarial maths seems to be remembering to correctly incorporate all the elements of interest, taxes, fees, correctly counting how many years the investment...

thats what we get told/ but so far in first year phys (a whole two weeks of it) literally the only thing we've done that isn't in HSC physics was the equation for force from a spring oh and technically 3d vectors but u do those in HSC maths

i have a few engineering friends doing 1151 by choice - for "fun" edit: sorry meant 1141, 1131 is the base level for engo
