    UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2014

Because I have other things to do - my dog gets left alone all day so I want to get home to him, my free time to game, part time job etc. Yes and I'm in the CSESoc fb group and someone posted it on there 30mins before the email got sent out.

    UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2014

I have 4-6hrs blocks 5 days of the week (25hrs total), and don't have any lunch breaks because my timetable is full enough already :( Don't want to drag out how much time I spend at uni.

    UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2014

The length of the tutes/lectures would depend on the tutor/teacher I assume. Just bring food from home? Since you don't start until 11 why not have early lunch from 10:50 and bring a snack from home or buy one to eat between your tutes/lectures.

Watership Down by Richard Adams. I used to love the Redwall series as a kid so this book is great.

    2014 Reading Goals?

They were both excellent books, I really loved a Handmaiden's Tale especially. I found A Clockwork Orange a bit hard to get into at first (and nearly stopped reading it) since the author partially made up a language for the characters (e.g. "horrorshow" means "good"), but I once I got used to...

    MATH1131 Difficulty?

Alright. That's cool then. How many hours of work roughly would you say is each set of tute problems? Oh no I definitely wouldn't be able to, I was just curious =)

    MATH1131 Difficulty?

Hypothetically speaking, if you completed all of your questions and got them 100% right would you have nothing to do?

Racial discrimination in HSC language courses

Well you can't get higher than a 99.95 atar. Just get her to do 4U maths since you said she was good at math, that'd be easy for her, right? If she's smart and tries hard (or is forced to try hard) she can do well regardless of subject choices.

    Job suggestions?

I think you can't be too picky. Apply to everywhere you can. Obviously start with preferred jobs in case you do get in, but then continue on with other things. You could go for retail (clothes stores, electronics, etc) or Big W/Kmart or fast foods. Go for Maccas, it wouldn't be so bad if you...

Racial discrimination in HSC language courses

Why don't you want her to do heritage? If she's a smart girl, then you should be pushing her to the best of her abilities and NOT just letting her coast by because she already knows Japanese/Chinese. That doesn't seem very fair.
