    Exams

I know a person who used Maths in Focus and ended up with a 99.55 ATAR. But no state ranks as far as I’m aware.

    Good laptops for Uni??

I bought mine at the start of 2018 and haven't had any issues since. My experience with the Aspire has been very positive. I first bought a Lenovo laptop which had inferior specs to the Aspire. It was unbearably slow (it had an i3) and the battery was terrible (I was getting less than 5 hours...

    Bridging courses

Yeah in that case they would be useful since, if you end up doing standard maths, you will need to compensate the adv/extension content not covered because I'm pretty sure that's assumed knowledge for engineering courses.

    Bridging courses

From the University of Sydney: "If you do not have the assumed knowledge for your course, we strongly recommend that you undertake bridging studies. Otherwise, you might find it difficult to manage the work, as your lecturer will assume you are familiar with this area of study. Bridging courses...

    Good laptops for Uni??

The Acer Aspire 5 is also considered a budget gaming laptop since it has decent specs and a decent graphics card. A youtuber called Austin Evans made a video about it a couple of years ago I know you’re not particularly interested in gaming, but thought I’d mention it anyway.

    Good laptops for Uni??

Acer Aspire 5. I’ve used mine for school as well as for uni and it never did anything wrong.

ANU penalises entire class of 300 students for alleged plagiarism after being unable to find perpetrators

They shouldn't penalise all students. That's just very unfair. The original assignment should've been cancelled and a new one assigned and completed under much stricter conditions. While ANU may have reached the perpetrators, it was at the expense of students who might've put a lot of effort...

    Exams

Not really necessary for Business and IPT. Knowing the content/syllabus is what you need the most in these 2 subjects and your textbook and/or any other resources you might be given at school are good enough.

    Double Degree vs Single Degree

In addition to what @quickoats mentioned about double majors, have you also considered postgraduate options? Instead of doing a double degree, you could also study a Master of Finance for instance.

    prelim pdh study during holidays

Probably go through your textbook so you have an idea of what to expect. You could also ask anyone you know who's already done preliminary pdhpe for help/notes.

Would doing a business degree at UTS actually be useful in getting a job?

Business is easier overall. I'm not sure which of the 2 fields is more competitive (I would assume IT is) but you gotta make yourself appealing to employers in both fields anyway. Probably go with IT if you don't mind studying difficult things.

    Double Degree vs Single Degree

A lot of people tend to do Business/Commerce and Law as well as Business/Commerce and IT so if you have an interest in either Law or IT these double degrees could work for you, not to mention double degrees could be more beneficial. Otherwise, depending on what you plan to study within your...

    Just a rant

In addition to what everyone mentioned above, I thought I’d share this motivational quote:

I've started a YouTube channel (QingClear) to post some of the *wisdom* I have gathered over my high school years.

It's great to see former students being so helpful to future HSC students. All the best!

    Bachelor of Economic

Not sure about that tbh. But @c8 mentioned something important which OP might wanna have a look at.
