of course the 2020-2022 though were very challenging years with covid lockdowns and it was questioned whether hsc exams would even go ahead. i’ve got lc papers from the early 1940s which shows that even the second world war didn’t stop it from going ahead - as well as the 1918-1920 lc exams...

i think the 2023 was significantly different to the 2020-2022 ones in that 2020-2022 just looks like a few pages of textbook questions, whereas the 2023 had many more questions more like maths comp/olympiad style so unless it goes backwards in 2024, one may expect some more maths comp/olympiad...
