IS THERE STILL HOPE FOR ME? (atar estimate)

    ok then its more like: (combined w trials) eng 94 mx1 - 96 mx2 - 91 chem - 90 phys - 90 bio - 94 roughly 99.5

IS THERE STILL HOPE FOR ME? (atar estimate)

U have a rough b6s from last cohort? I did ur marks based on a top10 school If not, then I'd say like purely based on trials since its probably more accurate: Eng -94/95 if ur lucky mx1 - 96 (not sure if your schools strong at maths) mx2 - 92 (idk if ur schools avg is a 90,91 so i just gave you...

    UCAT Statistics

id say 3000 as 90th percentile is the maximum, don't think it'll go any higher than that. you'll be fine if your aiming for 90+, you going for med or dent?

    Prelim Revision

Maybe change up your studying environment? Try going to the library, maybe seeing all the other people studying around you forces you to stay concentrated too. Not sure if your the lone wolf type, but otherwise try asking a few friends out to go on a study session, this way you get proper breaks...

    HELP

yr12 engineering studies student here, do not pick unless you are confident with rote learning half a textbook. Nah but on a serious note, engineering is pretty content heavy but a lot is intuition, perhaps compared to business its a bit better. (but i don't do so don't quote me on that)...

    3u or 2u math

right, but most people take bridging courses cus otherwise you fall behind pretty quick. (for maths related stuff) Asked 2nd year compsci at usyd and said they learn 4u calc content in the few weeks of uni, its a breeze for 4u kids, but for the 2u kids only its gonna be pretty tough.

    3u or 2u math

just do 3u, you might enjoy it, and if you don't no harm in dropping. (and it scales well). Since you want to do compsci i HIGHLY recommend you at least give it a go, since it is maths related (pre sure unsw has mx1 as assumed knowledge, so if you don't do it you'll have to take a bridging course

    ATAR Estimation 2023

based on ur schools last cohort, id say the following marks are reasonable madv- 94 mx1 - 93 eng - 80ish sdd - 85 ipt - 87 business - 83ish

    Ranking

if u got 98 internals and then 89 externals, then the two will average out to a 94 and that will be ur hsc mark

How to calculate your ATAR from trial/past paper marks

hey 🥕, just wanna quickly say this is actually insane, didnt know u had that much time to spare but im not complaining :) (also is a 45 aligned in english ext1 equivalent to a 93.95? - i thought it was gonna be higher, not sure if this is just how it is or there might be a bug or smthing)
  13. howcanibesmarter

    Quit dr du?

cus its popular and has reputation
  14. howcanibesmarter

    ranks

well since 99.95 is the highest, then ull have to be like top of all our courses. Its hard to say, since if theres a lot of smart people you might not need to be ranked as high, whereas if your're the only one who is capable of 99.95, then might need rank 1. Same goes for 99, depending on how...

    Rural entry question

oh yea no i wordered it wrong, i meant his rural application for his atar stays the same, so the same requirements essentially of 91 atar or whatever given by unsw
  16. howcanibesmarter

    Rural entry question

the rural application only takes into account your atar, and so if you did your hsc that was considered a rural area, it will still count. (correct me if im wrong otherwise its kinda unfair ngl)
  17. howcanibesmarter

    Rural entry question

yes, you can do any other course and reapply with ucat, but usually people do something health related so they at least learn something that is kinda relevant. i.e. medical science, etc

    Estimate please! top 5 school!

my school never gives out final ranks 😍 so we dont even know what internal mark we are more likely to get, just the ranks from trials and thats it, its so scuffed
