    I really need a 99 atar

ATAR takes into account the entire HSC-age cohort, including those who are not ATAR-eligible. The ATAR-eligible cohort is academically better than the whole cohort (which is why 1.7% of ATARs are above 99, for example). If you want it from UAC themselves, they have written that: "Students who...

    How do we do this?

Nvm halve the concentration above so it’s actually 0.020 mol/L and there won’t be a precipitate

    How do we do this?

Oh yikes I’m rusty already my bad

    How do we do this?

Pb(NO3)2(aq) + 2KCl(aq) = PbCl2(s) + 2KNO3(aq) (using equals as the double-headed arrows) In the above equation, nitrate and potassium are spectators ions (i.e. they are aqueous throughout). We can remove them to get the net ionic equation: Pb2+(aq) + 2Cl-(aq) = PbCl2(s) (sorry for the...

    How do we do this?

Q18) Bonds Broken: Ionic bonds (between sodium cations and chloride anions) are broken Hydrogen bonding between water molecules is disrupted (minor factor, you probably don't need to mention this) Bonds Formed: Ion-dipole bonds form between the dipoles of water molecules and the ions in...

Taking English Ext 1 just for year 11

maths is definitely all about practice, and I’d recommend you complete as much of Cambridge as you can (plus past papers and maybe tutoring) don’t rly know too much about many of the maths teachers (I had macarthur for 3 years in a row) but Powell is pretty quiet from what I’ve heard

Taking English Ext 1 just for year 11

i know some of my friends tried to change teachers but they didn't go through with it (honestly not sure if its worth changing teachers in yr11) im not sure if quinn is that bad a teacher anyway, but from personal experience her marking is very dodgy

Taking English Ext 1 just for year 11

i had derricourt in yr9 and i found that he was pretty good (not sure if that would translate to hsc tho) not sure who ur referring to with 'illic' (i only know ilic the bio teacher) otherwise I've heard cleave and rudge are good teachers, and personally i found that lizzio was good (got my...

Taking English Ext 1 just for year 11

don't think they did that well in hsc tho so it might not be the most efficient use of ur time instead doing extra practice urself or going to a private tutor might be more effective (and certainly more flexible)

Taking English Ext 1 just for year 11

they did it for the extra practice and dropped it in yr 12 (so same as u) they found it very different to adv eng (and as dasfas said, there is a disproportionate amount of work)

Taking English Ext 1 just for year 11

im not too sure (i didn't pick up ext 1 eng) so im probably not the best person to answer this most of my mates that did ext 1 weren't that good at english though

Taking English Ext 1 just for year 11

    Fresh grad or experienced tutor?

i don't think communication would be much of a problem for most english state rankers regardless, i'd probably go with the experienced teacher given that (in my experience) their teaching skills are more refined and they are better are improving the average / above-average student

Recovering from a very bad result.

*3 (expected better of u @vernburn) ur forgetting @J530 (tbf they got mid and high 99 respectively) back to the actual topic, i think that it's always important to view each result in perspective (i.e. don't beat yourself up too much about a single assessment result) in OP's case, you...
