Normally around 64/100 (ie after Paper 1 is converted to out of 40) achieves a Band 5 & 78+/100 for Band 6. While this years paper was generic, if a lot of people had troubles I feel that may drop a couple of marks.

I wouldn't say OP is screwed just yet at all. You still have time. Get some techniques, quotes and analysis and memorise it! Your essay from the trial is a good starting point even. And 5 memorised essays wtf, you'd be basically using the exact same techniques and quotes with moulded analysis...

It's hard to pin point as some texts align better than some others, some questions are harder for some texts than other etc etc. But it's around 70/105 raw for a HSC mark of 80.

Same here! I have a few quotes, but not really an in depth knowledge of the other speeches haha. Focusing on Suu Kyi and Sadat + know enough of Keating's to bullshit my way through.
