    Cramming for hsc

Cramming is an effective way of boosting your marks I believe, however it is still important to know the fundamentals of the subject for cramming to be useful

    Question about module b essay

Can I use phrases such as "...I believe this holds increasing relevance...." or "....our contextual society....." to have my own personal input in the essay? If so should I use personal pronouns such as "I" and "our", sparingly or frequently? I also heard that you have to use this kind of...

Thinking of taking science extension but I'm doing two major works

It will probably have good scaling, bot as much as extension maths tho. I feel like the scaling this first year will be good and there is a cohort of only 700 students, with most selective schools not running it. So I reckon it will be easier to get a high band or state rank.

Thinking of taking science extension but I'm doing two major works

lol, in our school the guy who did it secondhand didn't do very well because he couldn't get data

    SHOULD I DO SCIENCE EXTENSION?

It isn't difficult, it is definitely the easiest major work. You can do the entire report within a week and isn't that much harder than doing science experiments/reports in junior schooling. The syllabus content is also very easy and easy to learn and the subject in general is a bludge. (If you...

Help With Scaling and Subject Choice

You should consider doing maths extension 1, initially it may seem very hard (personally got 50% in the first exam) but if you put the effort in and stay attentive in class you will excel. (extension maths also has beast scaling). Otherwise, I heard SOR 1 is an 'easy' band 6 and heard from a...

    How's everyone's trial prep going?

Memorising essays does still work in the new syllabus its just the craft of writing which you can't memorise. I memorised all three of my english advanced essays and got A range for all of them.

    mid year review

Nice! I actually changed my research subject to testing fertilisers on soil acidity and plant growth. I found it to be a good decision as I actually have data that I can use in my report. (Primary investigations are the way to go)

    How's everyone's trial prep going?

The only bad experience I had doing my trials was having 2unit maths on a thursday, then 3unit maths and chemistry the day after. Otherwise my timetable was decent and gave me plenty of time to prepare for my other subjects.

    2019ers Chit-Chat Thread

I got my trials starting tuesday. ); Got english, maths, ext maths and chemistry all within the first 4 days. Then ag (pretty easy), then ext science which doesn't even count towards anything (that's one good thing I guess).

    Extension Science 2019

To be honest, its a complete bludge. It is not difficult and all the content could probably be revised within a few days. It also depends on what topics you are interested in (what you're going to research) and this course also entails having to find data and appropriate literature in your...

    Why is this thread dead?

There are clearly a significant amount of "views" on the threads in the ag forum but there isn't really any engagement. I think ag is a fun subject and there is a lot you can learn, and definitely isn't a 'dropkick' subject. So for future students coming to this forum, I recommend you guys to do...
