    Questions and answers

Definitely go for Strive Textbooks which ONLY include Science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each go for $37 (With shipping) and has a compilation of past HSC Questions and answers. If you are willing to spend more on testing resources, look for ATAR____Notes Topic Tests (no...

Textbook for phys, chem, maths which groups past hsc questions per topic

Strive Textbooks bro, legit the definition of past HSC question compilation. Very cheap for its content --> Like $37 for physics and chemistry. If you want extra (Maybe not as useful) --> AT@R____Notes Topic Tests, but less reliable than strive.

    Self-Made Notes or Pre-Made Notes?

Which type of notes should I use/gravitate towards? I'm already planning on using other ppl's notes/tutoring-made notes for science and math related subjects, then adding important formulas or adding onto those notes... but for English and Economics, do you guys make your own notes...

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

Is there like an ideal video or document on how to make essay plans? I'm not 100% sure what to properly include when preparing essay plans or how to structure them for easy memorisation/flow. If you could provide your own tips or strategies, that would be awesome.

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

In relation to essays, (2 Scenarios): 1) Assignment --> Given 4 Essay questions where 1 could be assessed on the day. Should I make 4 essay plans and research statistics, then memorise some paragraphs on these essays, or? 2) HSC/Trial Exams --> Random Essay questions provided. What is the best...

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

Wait, we are on different pages lol. I'm talking about syllabus notes, like attacking each dot point and answering it with relevant notes from the textbook. How would you take notes in the minimalistic style?

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

I'd say 10 in total for each topic since you need to include diagrams, stats, etc. instead of just words on a page which is quite demotivating. And its the HSC, why cut down a content-heavy subject to 5 pages lol. Can't see it happening for me anyways.

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

Which one is better at explaining content? Which one is better at providing in-depth analysis of current-world problems? (Like, I may sound contradicting but there has to be a significant difference between 2 textbooks, with thousands of dollars spent every year reproducing the same ratio of...

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

From experience, what's the best Economics Textbook to study content? Dixon or Tim Riley? Like which ones are better at... (E.g.: Learning new content, practice questions/applying knowledge, etc.)

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

Pretty much summed up in the title, like what's the best way you guys study for Economics because reading the Dixon textbook and completing 3 questions really isn't the biggest motivation lol. Like, what's the best way to study ahead for Economics? Appreciate you :)

Which Textbooks did you find most useful/I should use for Year 12

Use In-Focus when grasping new content/topics and getting a better understanding, then use Pearson for the questions and critical-thinking since it has quite a few questions out-of-syllabus but still relevant and difficult

    business studies in yr12

I mean, personally for me, I chose Interest > Grades so if you like it and are willing to invest time and effort into it, then go for it. There's a VERY famous post about the Chemistry vs Business Studies post on preliminary (No plug O.o) but I did come to the decision of choosing Chemistry...

    Offer rounds

Oh, so it's better to just keep the offer I have for the desired University and uni course I want instead of risking it for more offers?
  14. SweatyAsian#1

    Offer rounds

If I receive a conditional offer for a minimum atar or something on my first priority on 1st round, will the condition ease to a lower atar on the 2nd round if I keep it as my first priority or is it just wasting another offer from being received?
  15. SweatyAsian#1

    Offer rounds

If I receive an offer for my first preference in the first round, can I hold onto that offer by placing it lower on my preference list and then I can receive 2 offers now or you are only allowed 1 offer and you have to decline for another?

Should I drop Chemistry or Business Studies?

Interest>Grades. Although I do better at Business Studies than Chemistry, I can't see myself being motivated enough to study Business Studies over Chemistry. From experience, If you feel like the subject is easier and you will have a better time doing well in it, that's laziness talking. If...

    Ranks for 96+ ATAR?

So the greater number of band 6's, the better your cohort does, the more they will "kinda" boost your ranks/ATAR?

Strive Science Textbooks vs ATAR___Notes Topic Tests

From personal experience, advice or knowledge on either one, which textbook/book should Year 11 and 12 Students buy? I'm quite set on buying Strive since it's more professionally made, over 30+ years of experience, etc. but I would like to know a CLEAR majority on which one is better under...
