    um simple q answer this, do u want water in ur precipitate would that impact ur calcs if u did? in its essence it will affect mass and then the usual carryon error due to this, and hence wouldnt the mass u obtain be just a bit away from the theoretical mass

    A voltmeter measures potentiall difference and hence needs the infinite resistance if it drew current would it be able to accurately measure?
